Start with a call

Call Colorworks for collision towing help

Choose a local team and tell us where your vehicle is. We’ll help arrange the tow with the appropriate provider and confirm where the vehicle should go. Call before sending a vehicle to a shop so we can confirm the receiving facility and arrangements.

Already at a tow yard or another location? Tell us the company name, vehicle location and any claim information you have. We’ll help confirm the release and transfer steps before another tow is arranged.

From the first call to the finished repair

You should not have to work out every step alone. Our Colorworks Team is here to coordinate the practical details, explain the repair plan and give you a clear point of contact along the way.

1. Tell us where you are

Share the vehicle’s location, make and model, visible damage and whether another tow has already been arranged.

2. We arrange the next move

We coordinate with the towing provider and receiving facility, confirming availability, destination and any charges with you.

3. We plan the repair

Your advisor helps arrange the damage assessment and explains the proposed work, approvals and payment route.

4. We keep you informed

Confirm your point of contact, how repair updates will be shared and what to expect when the vehicle is ready.

What to have ready when you call

Give us the details. We’ll help with the arrangements.

  • Vehicle location: the address or location where the tow provider can find it.
  • Vehicle details: make, model and year, plus visible damage or access issues.
  • Existing arrangements: the towing company or storage facility if the vehicle has already been moved.
  • Claim information: your insurer and claim number, if you have them.
  • A callback number: so your advisor can confirm the arrangements with you.

If the vehicle may be unsafe to drive, discuss transport arrangements before travelling to a shop. If anyone is injured or there is immediate danger, call 911 first.

Insurance, private-pay and ICBC Valet options

Have an ICBC or insurance claim?

Tell your advisor before arrangements are made. We’ll help coordinate the repair steps and any required approvals. Towing or storage coverage depends on your claim and policy; it is not automatically included.

Collision towing questions

Questions about arranging a tow

Can Colorworks arrange a tow after a collision?

Yes. Contact our Colorworks Team with your vehicle’s location and damage details. Your advisor will confirm towing availability, the appropriate repair destination, timing and any applicable charges before arrangements are made.

Can you help if my vehicle is already in a tow yard?

Tell us which towing company or storage facility has the vehicle and provide your claim number if you have one. We will help coordinate the next steps, including confirming any release requirements and the receiving repair facility before another tow is arranged.

Can I request towing help without an insurance claim?

Yes. Tell your advisor that you are paying directly or do not have an applicable claim. Towing and repair arrangements can be discussed separately, with the scope and any applicable charges confirmed before you agree to proceed.

Does every tow include ICBC Valet vehicle concierge?

No. Towing coordination and ICBC Valet vehicle concierge are different arrangements. Vehicle concierge is available only through eligible ICBC Valet service and confirmed arrangements.

Do you have a towing depot in every service area?

No. Colorworks coordinates towing through an advisor and the appropriate towing provider. Our repair shops are in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam. West Vancouver, Burnaby, Port Moody, New Westminster and Squamish are served through shops in nearby cities.

Is submitting an online enquiry enough to book a tow?

No. Please call for time-sensitive towing requests. An online enquiry starts a conversation; towing availability, timing, destination and any applicable charges still need to be confirmed with your advisor.

Damage Picture Tips

To help us better assess your damage, please use the following tips to take the best pictures possible to send us. Try and keep the resolution from medium to high. You can attach up to 5 pictures.
Take a picture from a distance so that we can see where the damage is in relation to your vehicle.
Take a close up, so we can see more of the detail of the damage.
A close up from another angle is always useful as well so we can see where the damage is in relation to other panels.
