A clear repair plan. The right facility for your vehicle.
OEM certified collision repair starts with matching your vehicle to the appropriate shop. Our Colorworks Team helps you understand the damage, confirm current certification for your make and plan the next step.

Know what you are choosing
What OEM certified collision repair means
OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer. Manufacturer certification recognizes a specific repair facility under a vehicle brand’s collision program. Requirements may include technician training, equipment and repair processes.
The important question is which current certification applies to your vehicle at the shop carrying out the work. Share your make, model, year and damage details. We will help you confirm the repair destination before you book.
The right facility
Confirm the selected shop’s current manufacturer certification for your vehicle. A network name alone does not tell you which brands a location is certified to repair.
A vehicle-specific plan
Ask how manufacturer repair information informs the assessment, proposed repair method and any required inspections or safety-system checks.
Clear parts information
Review which parts are proposed, what your insurer has approved and any cost difference before authorizing the repair.

Manufacturer certification
Brand-specific facility recognition. Confirm the program, vehicle eligibility and current status for the shop receiving your vehicle.
Industry credentials
Training and industry accreditation support repair expertise. They are distinct from recognition under an individual vehicle manufacturer’s program.
OEM replacement parts
Parts supplied by or for the original vehicle manufacturer. Parts selection is a separate discussion from facility certification.
Ask about your vehicle, rather than assuming every badge applies. Bring your vehicle details and ask the advisor to identify the current certification that applies to the proposed repair facility. We will explain the next step and help you make a clear booking decision.

OEM certified collision repair questions
OEM certified collision repair questions
What does OEM certified collision repair mean?
OEM certification is recognition under a vehicle manufacturer’s collision repair program. It applies to a particular facility and program, with requirements that may cover equipment, training and repair processes. Ask which current certification applies to your vehicle and selected shop.
Is every Colorworks shop certified for every vehicle brand?
No. Manufacturer certifications vary by location and brand. Give our Colorworks Team your make, model and year so they can confirm the appropriate facility and its current certification before you book.
Are OEM parts the same thing as OEM certification?
No. OEM parts are original equipment manufacturer parts. OEM certification concerns a repair facility’s recognition under a manufacturer program. Ask the advisor to identify proposed replacement parts and explain the repair plan.
Will my insurance claim automatically include all OEM parts?
Do not assume that certification guarantees all-new OEM replacement parts or insurance approval. Review the estimate with your Colorworks Express advisor. Confirm approved parts, coverage and any additional amount you may need to pay before work begins.
What should I ask about cameras, sensors and safety systems?
Mention warning lights, damaged cameras or sensors and any changes after the collision. Ask which vehicle-specific inspections, scans or calibration procedures the repair requires and how those steps will be arranged.
Can I pay privately for collision repair?
Yes. Ask for a written estimate and discuss the proposed work, parts and schedule. Our private repair vs. insurance guide helps you compare repair payment options. Confirm the selected shop is appropriate for your vehicle.
Does OEM collision repair include vehicle concierge?
Vehicle concierge is available only through eligible ICBC Valet service and confirmed arrangements. It is not automatically included with OEM certification or private-pay repairs. Ask the advisor about eligibility, availability and any transport arrangements.
Can you help drivers outside Vancouver?
Our Colorworks Team can help drivers from nearby communities choose an appropriate repair facility. Serving a city does not mean there is a shop in that city. Confirm the actual address, certification and travel arrangements before visiting.
