The right method for your vehicle

Paintless dent repair or conventional body repair?

The paint condition, dent shape and panel access help determine the approach. Your advisor will explain what is suitable so you can make an informed decision.

Paintless dent removal (PDR)

For suitable minor dents where the paint is intact, PDR may reshape the panel without repainting. An assessment confirms whether it is appropriate for your vehicle.

More than a dent?

Dent repair & PDR questions

Dent repair & PDR questions

What is paintless dent repair (PDR)?

Paintless dent repair reshapes suitable minor dents without repainting the panel. The paint needs to be intact, and the shop must assess the dent location, depth and access before confirming suitability.

Can every door ding be repaired without painting?

No. A sharp crease, stretched metal, damaged paint or difficult access may require a different approach. Our Colorworks Team will explain the appropriate repair method after assessment.

What if my dent also has a paint scuff or scratch?

Show the advisor both the dent and the paint damage. Paint correction may suit some surface marks, while deeper damage may need body repair and refinishing. The estimate should address all affected areas.

How much does dent repair cost?

The estimate depends on the dent size, location, number of affected areas, panel access and any paint work required. Request an assessment for a repair plan and price specific to your vehicle.

How long does paintless dent removal take?

Timing depends on the damage, repair method and shop availability. Tell the advisor about your schedule and ask for the expected repair time after the vehicle has been assessed.

Can I pay for dent repair without making an insurance claim?

Yes. Ask your Colorworks Express advisor for a private-pay estimate. You can review the repair scope before deciding how to proceed. Coverage and claim eligibility must be confirmed with the insurer when insurance is involved.

Can dent repairs help before a lease return?

A repair estimate can help you compare options for damage identified on your lease inspection. Share the report and return date. Your leasing company decides acceptable wear and any final charges.

Do you offer dent repairs for company vehicles?

Yes. Our fleet dent repair page explains enquiries for company vehicles, approvals and scheduling. Contact the advisor to confirm the assessment and repair arrangements for your vehicles.

Is vehicle collection included?

Confirm drop-off and collection arrangements with the shop. Vehicle concierge is available only through eligible ICBC Valet service and confirmed arrangements; it is not automatically included with private-pay dent repairs.

Take a picture from a distance so that we can see where the damage is in relation to your vehicle.
Take a close up, so we can see more of the detail of the damage.
A close up from another angle is always useful as well so we can see where the damage is in relation to other panels.
