Why Choose an OEM Certified Repair Center?

When you go to a non-certified collision repair shop for your vehicle repair, they can use used parts and aftermarket parts on your vehicle. An OEM certification means we’ve been trained, tested, and approved by major manufacturers to repair vehicles exactly the way the factory intended.

It’s not just about looks — it’s about safety, precision, and performance. Colowork’s OEM Certified Centers use high-quality automotive parts and precise repair methods that protect your vehicle’s safety, warranty, and resale value.

FAQs

What’s the difference between OEM vs aftermarket parts?

OEM auto parts come directly from your vehicle’s manufacturer and are designed to match the original build exactly. Aftermarket parts are produced by other manufacturers that offer a wide range of replacement parts to fit many makes and models.

Currently, our Vancouver collision centers are OEM Certified, with other shops actively pursuing certification.

Yes. If you’re making an ICBC claim, you’ll also get access to our Valet service. That means we’ll come to you to appraise the damage, handle your claim, pick up your car, and leave you with a replacement vehicle. Contact us for more information.

OEM parts generally cost more than aftermarket or used parts because they come directly from the manufacturer and include warranty coverage. You’re paying for peace of mind knowing the part is an exact match for your vehicle. However, if your OEM repair is covered through ICBC, it may not cost you more out of pocket, depending on your insurance coverage.

Damage Picture Tips

To help us better assess your damage, please use the following tips to take the best pictures possible to send us. Try and keep the resolution from medium to high. You can attach up to 5 pictures.
Take a picture from a distance so that we can see where the damage is in relation to your vehicle.
Take a close up, so we can see more of the detail of the damage.
A close up from another angle is always useful as well so we can see where the damage is in relation to other panels.
